Our History
It all started in the late 19th century with Paul Lesimple, who decided to plant 1.5 hectares of vines on his polyculture and livestock farm, as was common at the time.
Cécile, Paul’s daughter, and her husband continued in her father’s footsteps but chose to expand the surface area under vine.
In 1969, Michel Lesimple, along with his wife Gisèle, chose to devote their activity solely to viticulture.
In 1970, the purchase of the first straddle tractor was a turning point for the estate.
After that, Michel and Gisèle decided to expand the estate and collaborate with local wine negociants who could sell their harvest in bulk.
In 1997, after finishing his studies and gaining experience at an American winery, their son Gilles returned to the family estate. Continuing in his father’s footsteps, Gilles worked with local negociants until 2016 when he decided to reduce bulk sales and launch production of bottled wine.
